Occupational Safety Management
Nowadays, the reduction of occupational accidents and the prevention of occupational diseases are the central topics of a modern occupational safety management system. Numerous legal requirements and guidelines must be systematically integrated into the company's processes. In addition, the challenge is to implement relevant specifications and processes into the existing structural and procedural organization, taking into account occupational and health risks, while raising employee awareness in the long term. This motivates managers and employees to actively participate in the occupational health and safety management system. In addition, employee involvement promotes motivation and creates a culture of trust.
Goals include:
Increasing legal certainty through systematic analysis and implementation of legal requirements and conditions
Increase employee awareness by creating an efficient and safe work environment
Prevention of occupational accidents and diseases
Cost reduction through recyclables analyses and consideration of resource consumption for waste, materials, water and energy

Laboratory Management
Due to IATF 16949 and specific customer requirements, the demands on internal laboratories are becoming ever higher. Thus, internal test laboratories must:
have a defined area of work,
have professional competence,
Mastery of required testing and calibration services to perform,
which must be part of the QM documentation. Market requirements are changing, so some OEMs and 1st tier expect proof that the internal laboratory is set up or accredited according to DIN EN ISO 17025.
A planning of the standard-compliant laboratory management must be built up according to customer requirements in the start-up phase in order to install a fast and capable analysis of measuring equipment and products at an early stage. In particular, the topics of measurement uncertainty, traceability, validation and verification of procedures are associated with a lot of work and the precise description of the procedure.
Accreditation in accordance with ISO 17025 may be necessary in the future, as this is partly a prerequisite for obtaining orders from customers. ISO/IEC 17025 defines the requirements for the competence and methods for the calibration of test and measurement systems. We know the requirements of the automotive industry and integrate ISO/IEC 17025 into an existing ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality management system.
At this point, our experts support your organization with distinctive methodological knowledge and experience in setting up, optimizing, and auditing the internal laboratory according to ISO 17025. We offer you strategic and operational consulting on DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and support your laboratory in all QM areas up to accreditation. If you wish, the consulting can also be carried out partially online or remotely.
Together with you, we coordinate and project the necessary tasks for the creation of a QM system according to ISO 17025.
As far as possible, we take over the complete documentation creation, expand your QM documentation with regard to the new ISO 17025:2018 requirements, ensure the accreditation capability and thus provide the greatest possible relief for you. Thus, you can decide what you want to do with your own resources and how much external support you would like to have.
The goals are:
Preparation of documentation according to ISO 17025
Determination of processes relevant to quality and standards and documentation in process instructions
Carrying out or assisting with all necessary work
Support in the implementation of internal/external audits
Employee training and qualification
Advice and assistance in applying for subsidies

Audit management
For more than 20 years, our certified auditors (IATF 16949/VDA 6.3/ISMS 27001) have been performing various system and process audits in the different regulatory frameworks and industries.
Systems and processes should be audited on a regular basis. The audits (system and process audits) give the company the chance of improvement and support you in the analysis/assessment of the management system and processes and offer you the opportunity to continuously improve your QM system/processes.
However, the consideration of the extent to which the management system is capable of achieving the company's strategy, its goals and customer requirements is usually only partially taken into account in the system and process audits.
A value-analytical and risk-oriented view of the installed systems/processes is completely missing. Therefore, the benefit of traditional system and process audits for the organization is usually very manageable.
In view of the increasing specific system and process requirements from the regulations, e.g. IATF 16949, as well as the versatile customer requirements, the systematic and holistic process-oriented risk auditing becomes an important factor of customer orientation and is a component of the target-oriented risk minimization in the company.
Topic: RPAS® - Risk and Process Oriented Assessment System
RPAS® is the systematic combination of different sets of rules, such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 27011, ISO 14001, etc., taking into account the ISO 19011 specifications in conjunction with a set of rules associated risk assessment.
RPAS® is intended to show companies/suppliers as early as possible any difficulties that could threaten the existence of the company and throw it out of balance in the production and administration areas.
The use of RPAS® in conjunction with auditing of the management system and its processes not only makes good business sense, but also enables the analysis and identification of risks and opportunities in the company at an early stage.
Goal: Meet specifications - minimize liability
RPAS® closes this gap and shows potential for both preventive cost savings and improved forecasting of the company's risks and opportunities for management.
The aim of RPAS® is to evaluate the stability and effectiveness of the management system by means of fulfillment levels in system maturity levels and weighted, operational risks on the basis of a risk combination matrix, to present these in a risk map and to implement the use of the required resources with regard to the reduction of risks in processes and projects more effectively and economically.
RPAS® helps to better present the relevant audit results to management, especially the risks (RISK-MAP) and their necessary resources to systematically address them.
Practical application
Our professional certified IATF 16949/ISO 9001/ISO 27001 auditors are also ISO 31000 risk managers and also perform RPAS®.
RPAS® has been used successfully at BMW (BMW-specific RPAS) for the past five years as part of the supplier classification process for new projects, among other things.
Proven benefit
Focus on effectiveness and efficiency of QM processes and systems instead of pure evaluation against standard requirements
Identification of (weighted) operational risks in processes and projects and prioritization of necessary measures
Transparent and reproducible presentation of risk potential and maturity of QM processes of an organization
Consistent and transparent relationship between degree of completion of agreed measures and remaining residual risk
Basis for objective benchmark/comparison of suppliers, locations
Situational adaptation of the audit focus to the problem possible (e.g. depending on product/project type)

ISMS management
Today, the security of information is an elementary prerequisite of corporate success and customer demands. The information is a component of almost all transcations of a company. Thus, a holistic approach to the management of information security, the secure handling of customer data and own confidential data, makes sense and is required.
Customers' need for security in handling confidential data is constantly growing. To remain competitive, companies must implement the introduction of an information security management system (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001 and/or the TISAX® standard developed for the automotive industry into their own organization.
An ISMS defines the rules and methods for holistic business and IT security management in order to initiate procedures for information security, implement concrete measures, monitor these and continuously improve them. In particular, IT risks are taken into account that can be identified in the course of risk analyses and eliminated/reduced through measures.
Our certified ISMS 27001 Professional/Security Officer and 27001 Auditors advise you on the design and implementation of comprehensive security solutions. In doing so, we refer to the management system standard ISO/IEC 27001 or BSI as a reference. Together with you, we will coordinate and project the necessary tasks for the creation of an ISMS according to ISO /ECC 27001.
As far as desired, we take over the complete documentation creation, extend your ISMS documentation with regard to the ISO/ECC 27001 requirements, ensure the certification capability and thus provide the greatest possible relief for you. Thus, you can decide what you want to do with your own resources and how much external support you would like to have.
We support you in the introduction of necessary processes, the organizational structure and a legally required documentation for an ISMS according to ISO 27001
We ensure a business process-oriented ISMS tailored to your company, taking into account the technical security aspects in interaction with the organizational measures
We identify weak points/risks in your organization, discuss measures to close gaps and reduce risks, and train your employees in handling sensitive data
Through practice-oriented consulting, we offer every industry reliable support in setting up and operating an information security management system (ISMS).
The focus is on the following objectives:
Minimization of IT risks, potential damage and consequential costs
Security of your IT systems and processes and confidentiality of your data
Advantages in competition through proof of a recognized certificate
Increase of trust towards interested parties, customers and the public
Systematic detection of weak points
Security becomes an integral part of your business processes
Better control of IT risks through systematic risk management
Through a free initial consultation, you can see for yourself whether we are the right partner to implement your ISMS project.
By demonstrably ensuring legal and contractual requirements, not only does a positive internal and external impact take place, but also offers a conscious handling of sensitive data, the reduction of your risk potential and the increase of security awareness throughout the organization.

Damage analysis management
Experts estimate the worldwide warranty costs at several billion euros annually. The analysis of field failure parts plays an elementary and multifaceted role in this field of tension between quality and costs. As agreed, the component supplier is presented with a subset of the worldwide failures, which is intended to represent the failure pattern in the market (reference market procedure).
Thus, the analysis of field failure parts is an elementary component of quality and warranty management as well as warranty and recourse processes. These requirements were made more concrete within the framework of IATF 16949 and specified within the framework of customer-specific requirements.
A planning of the field failure part analysis process has to be built up according to customer requirements in the start-up phase, in order to be able to perform a fast and capable analysis of concept weaknesses and functional failures at an early stage.
Especially for suppliers from the first supply chain (1st tier suppliers), a defined field failure part analysis process, according to the specifications of the VDA/the customer-specific requirements, in the form of an escalating inspection concept consisting of the standard and load inspection as well as the "No-Trouble-Found-Process" (NTF) is increasingly required.
At this point, our experts support you with distinctive methodological knowledge and experience in setting up, optimizing as well as auditing the field failure part analysis processes of your organization.
Together with you, we implement the requirements of a field failure analysis management (from the VDA/customer-specific requirements) into your organization. Technically unfounded warranty claims should be prevented and justified complaints should be solved to the satisfaction of the customer.
The most important project steps at a glance:
Advance planning of the failure frequency
Incorporating the field failure analysis into the release process
Determination of the trigger criteria
Setup and implementation of the reporting process (standard and load testing)
Creation of a NTF guide
Implementation of an effective problem solving processs
Introduction of key figures in the field failure analysis process
Interfaces and information exchange (reporting, data exchange, interfaces to other standards/guidelines)
Follow-up costs for defects that are not identified and remedied, or are identified too late, are many times higher than the investment in a sound field failure analysis management system. Due to the warranty costs, the implementation of the standards for field failure analysis brings economic advantages in every respect
From the introduction of field failure management to the performance of field failure audits, the identification of key figures and the monitoring of optimizations, we can accompany you in a success-oriented manner.

KPI/KVP and innovation management
According to the standard requirements, such as EN ISO 9001/IATF 16949, the organization must describe which organizational measures are defined with regard to continuous improvements/innovations so that, taking into account the operational risks, the set goals and thus an increase in customer satisfaction are achieved.
The implementation of these measures and the results (KPI) must be monitored and documented. The innovation/CIP approach affects all business processes. So far the standard requirements...
Internally, the primary focus is on
to optimize business processes in terms of product, process and service quality in a targeted manner,
reduce the waste of resources,
and to systematically and permanently improve business processes.
CIP management enables the organization to respond flexibly and promptly to changing market and customer requirements, thereby increasing its competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
The holistic view of the process factors, their KPIs and the employees creates a transparent organizational structure with clear roles. If necessary, employees can discover and realize new potentials. The identification of the employees with the processes of the company is thus increased. The approach is systematically supported with our ANALYSIS tool.
The prerequisite is the will of the management to directly implement results from the CIP (partly by means of KPIs). However, this is only possible if the CIP teams themselves are motivated to implement their ideas directly and the necessary resources are made available by the management. Both innovation management and the continuous improvement process (CIP) are, on the one hand, a quality method and, on the other hand, a lived corporate philosophy.
When implementing innovations/CIP, the process interactions with regard to the adjacent processes must also be taken into account. All processes should be primarily aligned with the corporate strategy and corporate goals.
The corresponding key performance indicators are defined, evaluated and monitored as part of the innovation/CIP process. Key performance indicators (KPI) are particularly important for management and controlling. They make it possible to examine individual CIP/innovation projects in terms of their effectiveness and economic efficiency in order to evaluate the achievement of objectives. Any optimizations, weaknesses or wrong decisions can thus be rectified at an early stage. The monitoring or measurement of the effectiveness of innovation/CIP management is verified in the project taking into account the:
Key performance indicators
Disturbance key figures
Effectiveness indicators
Efficiency indicators
We offer the following services within the framework of innovation/CIP management:
Analysis of the potentials and integration needs of the innovation management/CIP approach in your company.
Establishment and implementation of an innovation management/CIP system in the organization
Company- and project-specific information events, training courses and seminars
Moderation of innovation-/CIP- workshops
Project coaching, project reviews and implementation of measures
Determination of the evaluation or visualization of the results and economic benefits

Customer specific requirements
Since 2010, our auditors have been dealing with CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) in terms of analysis, evaluation and implementation in the audit regulations.
In the automotive industry in particular, there are additional customer-specific requirements (CSR) in the form of the AIAG Core Tools and the VDA volumes on the one hand and many individual specifications of individual customers along the supply chain on the other.
Customer-specific requirements, particularly on the part of OEMs and 1st tier suppliers, result in considerable additional work for suppliers.
Customer-specific requirements go beyond the QM system requirements of the regulatory frameworks, such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
The supplier companies are confronted with different demands from their customers, which have to be met at the expense of efficiency.
The inclusion of customer-specific receivables in the contract leads to a new situation in terms of liability law.
By including customer-specific requirements, both these and the requirements of IATF 16949 become a binding part of the contract.
In order to deal with these issues in a systematic, process and risk-oriented manner, our auditors have built up targeted innovative systems and methods. The following approach is carried out individually:
Analysis of the necessary information from the customer portals
Analysis of the information (CSR)
Document changes
Evaluation and distribution of information
Evaluation of CSR (duration of implementation, costs, side-letter etc.)
Risk assessment
Implementation of the necessary measures
Verification of the implementation of the measures (CSR assessment)
Inclusion of CSR in the audit plan
The approach enables a structured and transparent presentation with the handling of customer-specific QM system and process requirements.
In many, especially smaller supplier companies, the company management has other concerns than whether the customer-specific requirements are systematically implemented in the management system and their processes.
However, management has concluded a contract with the customer in which the customer-specific requirements are specified. This is where the greatest potential for problems lies.
Of course, there is no business without risks; it is part of every business to take risks.
With our method, we show on the one hand which operational/administrative risks a company has and on the other hand how large the risk potentials are.
In this way, management can see which problems it needs to address as quickly as possible and what needs to be on the agenda in the medium term.
If management works through the identified risks in a systematic and targeted manner, it ensures the sustainable development of the company and compliance with contractually agreed requirements.
It is helpful to check at certain intervals with an RPAS® re-assessment whether the measures taken have led to an improvement, i.e. to a significant reduction or even elimination of risk.

Problem solving management
According to the quote of Albert Einstein "Problems can never be solved with the same way of thinking that created them."
To systematically identify problems, pragmatically eliminate their causes, and generate lessons learned so that errors can be preemptively avoided, our problem-solving experts apply appropriate methods and database-oriented analysis tools.
Problems must be solved systematically, whether in advance quality planning, in the product development process, in manufacturing or in business processes.
For this purpose, the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) concept is usually used, which is run through in phases. In the different phases we combine target-oriented methods by means of our database-oriented analysis tool (>ANALYSIS) to be able to determine the cause of the problem clearly and to support a target-oriented solution approach.
When disruptions occur, they are usually unexpected, with partly unknown causes, but usually with economic consequences, possibly risks, customer dissatisfaction and a resulting need for action. However, disruptions, such as complaints also have opportunities,
Lessons learned - knowledge acquisition for the CIP process and
Increase customer satisfaction/trust
Elimination of repeat complaints - economic consideration
Risk reduction if necessary risk elimination
which are to be addressed.
Our problem-solving experts will analyze your problem in detail and place it in a causal context. Together with you, we will work out an individual solution path. The goal of coaching is to resolve the problem so that you can once again freely and confidently use your own resources. In the context of workshops, this also includes the 8D method, for example, in order to process complaints/reclamations in a targeted manner with the appropriate tools.
